STEM “X” Framework

Students are immersed in hands-on, tech-powered exploration that sparks curiosity and builds foundational understanding.

Learning Tools & Activities:

  • Block coding, beginner robotics, drag-and-drop game design
  • Virtual tours, design demos, team-based challenges
  • Exposure to STEM careers, competitions, and innovation stories

Programs: LION Cub (Middle School) & BEAR (Middle School)

Students take the lead in designing, building, and troubleshooting real systems. Failure becomes part of the learning loop.

Learning Tools & Activities:

  • Robotics (VEX IQ/EXP), sensors, drone labs, physical computing
  • Game mechanics (Unity, Scratch), simulation challenges
  • Startup design thinking, role-playing, rapid prototyping

Programs: Drone Engineering Lab, BEAR+ (High School), & LION+ (High School)

Students turn their ideas into working solutions—and present them to real audiences. This stage cultivates confidence, mastery, and leadership.

Learning Tools & Activities:

  • Demo days, startup pitch events, competitive robotics
  • Engineering notebooks, public speaking, team leadership
  • Portfolio creation, capstone projects, product launch simulation

Outcomes: Real-world innovation mindset and resume-ready experiences, VEX / FTC / FLL competition readiness, NASA MITTIC, HYVE, or Shark Tank–style pitch events
