Our Story
ThinkerBox was founded by Professor Armand Poblete, a professor of information systems at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. Observing a troubling trend in his classes—students becoming less engaged, less interested, and less knowledgeable—he sought to understand the root cause.
Through conversations with academies and high schools across the United States, Professor Poblete discovered two critical barriers to student success:
- Tech Educational Equipment is Cost-Prohibitive: Many schools lack the financial resources for effective STEM and business tools.
- Teachers are Ill-Equipped or Undertrained: Many educators face challenges in teaching high-tech and business concepts effectively.
Determined to tackle these issues, he established ThinkerBox, a unique initiative that blends STEM and business education to empower students and educators.
Our Home and Team
ThinkerBox is proudly housed at the School of Business Administration at Andrews University, where it is run and managed by Professor Poblete, alongside a passionate team of students, staff, and faculty. Together, they create programs that inspire innovation and equip learners with skills for success in both technology and business.
